Get on schedule. Getting into a regular schedule is important. Getting to bed by a certain time, laying out clothes for the next day, and of course, getting up before 9AM. Summer is fun, but everyone gets off their normal schedules so it's important to get back into the groove.
Declutter. Don't worry, this isn't spring cleaning again but tidying up for school is important. Your home and you will feel so much more organized if you dedicate the time to purge unneeded and unused things from around your home.
Message board. Create a fun family message board. Whether you want to spotlight your child's A+ paper or make a reminder of an important event, a message board will keep everything and everyone organized.
Homework file. Instead of leaving papers all over the kitchen counters, A file system for homework and important school papers will prevent headaches. Use different colored folders and make sure to label them!
Homework space. Every child needs a great place to work on their assignments! To make studying special and fun, dedicate a place for your child's homework. Buy a new desk or paint an old one. This will create a habit of focusing on their studies after school and before dinner.
